Friday favourites

Music: Sias newest album 1000 forms of fear is one of the best collection of songs I have ever heard. It has been constantly on repeat all week. It is so unique and powerful I instantly fell in love with it. My favourite tracks are hostage, big girls cry and free the animal but there isn’t a song I would skip which is incredibly rare.

TV: I started arrow and subsequently the flash and both have become a weekly addition to my TV schedule and highly ranked on my all time TV favourites. I am a huge superhero fan so this was already right up my street. The characters are all well written and the female characters are so strong in their own ways and not there to idolise the heroes but they become heroes which is great to watch.

Film: I have started to make my way through the oscar nominated films and this week I watched whiplash. I am a huge fan of Miles Teller and all his previous work but this was in another league. The story was so powerful and the acting was spectacular and this was easily my favourite film of the year so far.

Beauty: I found my body’s hop lipstick and gave it another go, I previously found it didn’t apply as well as others however this time was different somehow. I wore the colour “colour crush” and it was so beautiful on and applied really well so I will definitely be wearing that more often now.

Fashion: missguided.com is back in my life. I am so in love with this website. They’re clothes are amazing and so are the majority of their prices. I just ordered a new dress and some new trousers for £20 so I will definitely be shopping there a lot more now, as soon as I get a job.

Obsession 25: Winter Wardrobe

It’s 10 days until Christmas day and the weather hits you hard as soon as you take one step outside. As one who hates the cold, I love this time of year for fashion. Cosy over sized Jumpers, woolly hats and big scarves are all I need to be happy when the temperature drops. I am a big fan of comfort dressing so being able to layer up with my more baggy clothes is the only way to create a perfect outfit this season in my books.

Today’s look was perfect for my day in doing jobs but also suited me for a quick school run and shopping trip. I am loving hats this year. Every year I buy a new hat and every year I hardly wear it. I’m still not sure that I can pull it off but I have finally got to the stage wear I don’t really care. It keeps my head warm and controls my hair in the wind and therefore it makes me very happy. This is this years hat which I got on sale in New Look. My make up was very minimal just foundation and mascara so I added my dark lipstick from The Body Shop just to add a little something extra. I also added these cute reindeer ear ring, which I also bought on sale in New Look as a set with a range of other Christmas themed earrings. These just add a little festivity for the countdown to Christmas Day. My hair is my attempt at curling, which, even at 19, I have still not mastered yet, but I will keep trying.

My outfit was very basic and just consisted of these black leggings from Pull and Bear, a mustard Jumper from Matalan and these Black Boots from New Look. My Scarf, from Primark, goes on with every outfit as it is practically a blanket around my neck,  and is therefore my key essential item for winter.

OOTD

I hope you liked my OOTD, it’s something new for me to blog about and I am sorry for the bad picture quality I have to rely on my laptop camera, which is not the best.
